Daily Prayer for September 3rd, 2021

Good Friday morning, God—thank you!😊

As you know, the virgin found in the old testament, Esther, was one of the women  presented to the king. She was a woman of honor and reminds me that nothing is impossible with you. The king dishonored other women, stripping them of their virginity and ranking them as concubine’s—sex slaves more-less; but she refused with humility and grace. Instead, she chose to respect herself, honor and trust in you—not be deceived. So, having won the favor of everyone, Esther became queen. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Esther 2:15

15 When the turn came for Esther (the young woman Mordecai had adopted, the daughter of his uncle Abihail) to go to the king, she asked for nothing other than what Hegai, the king’s eunuch who was in charge of the harem, suggested. And Esther won the favor of everyone who saw her.

Colossians 2:8

See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits[a] of the world, and not according to Christ.
