Daily Prayer for August 26th, 2021
Good morning, God—thank you! 😊
Naturally, every day, I take up the shield of faith and walk boldly with you and the sword of the Spirit (the Word of God), knowing you will fight for me. Is it true that you have no problem with me possessing weapons, served as offensive devices against my/our enemy, God, especially in this day and age? I know that I should not kill. But when I have no choice—then with you, I should use my ammo to protect myself and my family, correct? In Jesus’s name. Amen.
13 So in the lowest parts of the space behind the wall, in open places, I stationed the people by their clans, with their swords, their spears, and their bows. 14 And I looked and arose and said to the nobles and to the officials and to the rest of the people, “Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your homes.”
36 He said to them, “But now let the one who has a moneybag take it, and likewise a knapsack. And let the one who has no sword sell his cloak and buy one.
16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
