Daily Prayer for July 31st, 2021
Good morning, God—thank you!
I’ve always said “less is more,” usually referring to fashion and design. But it’s not just my opinion about the small things; it is also true in your word. When I am faithful over a little, I enter into your joy. As I commit myself to you and your love, you establish my plans for me, washing me clean—little by little. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
30 Little by little I will drive them out before you, until you have increased enough to take possession of the land.
10 “One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much.
3 Commit your work to the Lord,
and your plans will be established.
9 A little leaven leavens the whole lump.
6 Yet you desired faithfulness even in the womb;
you taught me wisdom in that secret place.
7 Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean;
wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.
8 Let me hear joy and gladness;
let the bones you have crushed rejoice.
5 So also the tongue is a small member, yet it boasts of great things.
How great a forest is set ablaze by such a small fire!
