Daily Prayer for June 26th, 2021

Good Saturday morning, God—thank you! 😊

The Holy Bible attributes the rank of the archangel to one angel: Michael. Although some wonder if we have a second angel, Gabriel, Scripture never labels him as an archangel. Nevertheless, your Word says you will command your angels to watch over my family and me and guard us in all our ways. Defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil—rebuke him, I pray! In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Matthew 18:10

The Parable of the Lost Sheep

10 “See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven.

Jude 9

But when the archangel Michael, contending with the devil, was disputing about the body of Moses, he did not presume to pronounce a blasphemous judgment, but said, “The Lord rebuke you.”

1 Thessalonians 4:16

16 For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.

Luke 1:19

19 And the angel answered him, “I am Gabriel. I stand in the presence of God, and I was sent to speak to you and to bring you this good news.

Psalm 34:7

The angel of the Lord encamps
around those who fear him, and delivers them.

Luke 4:10

10 for it is written,

“‘He will command his angels concerning you,
to guard you,’
