Daily Prayer for May 31st, 2021
Happy Memorial Day, God—thank you! 😊
You have blessed the USA with a great bounty, ingrained the fallen with bravery and a willingness to serve—to fight for our freedom with blood, sweat, and tears. I am grateful for the sacrifices made. Holy Spirit, please give me the courage and with a made-up mind to be the best I can be for you and me, that I would lay down my life for a friend as heroes did for our country, and Jesus did for all of humankind. Amen.
Christ Has Set Us Free
5 For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.
7 for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.
23 Keep your heart with all vigilance,
for from it flow the springs of life.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
