Daily Prayer for May 19th, 2021
Good morning, God—thank you! 😊
Please help me always show kindness and mercy to everyone—walk humbly with you. Learn through you and your Word to do good. I have been made righteous through the blood of your son, Jesus. Therefore, let me trust in his forgiveness “like an overflowing stream,” never taking revenge. Vengeance is yours. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
24 But let justice roll down like waters,
and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.
15 When justice is done, it is a joy to the righteous
but terror to evildoers.
17 learn to do good;
seek justice,
correct oppression;
bring justice to the fatherless,
plead the widow’s cause.
19 Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.”
8 He has told you, O man, what is good;
and what does the Lord require of you
but to do justice, and to love kindness,
and to walk humbly with your God?
