Daily Prayer for April 21st, 2021
Good morning, God—thank you!! 😊
Jesus was hated. I am hated. Not one person is liked by all people. But, thankfully, Father, because you fill me with your love, I hate no one. I love my enemies, just as your love yours. It’s not easy at times, but I’d rather be more like you and love everyone. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
4 More in number than the hairs of my head
are those who hate me without cause;
mighty are those who would destroy me,
those who attack me with lies.
What I did not steal
must I now restore?
5 O God, you know my folly;
the wrongs I have done are not hidden from you.
The Hatred of the World
18 “If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you.
44 But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,
32 Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
14 The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.”
19 Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.”
