Daily Prayer for April 18th, 2021
Good morning, God—thank you! 😊
Please, correct me when I’m wrong, as I want to do right by you. Just as I disciplined my child, I expect you to punish me. You reprove those you love. Make me well aware of my surroundings. Thank you, Father! In Jesus’ name. Amen.
11 My son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline
or be weary of his reproof,
12 for the Lord reproves him whom he loves,
as a father the son in whom he delights.
17 “Behold, blessed is the one whom God reproves;
therefore despise not the discipline of the Almighty.
5 Know then in your heart that, as a man disciplines his son, the Lord your God disciplines you.
4 for he is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God’s wrath on the wrongdoer.
