Daily Prayer for April 16th, 2021
Good Friday morning, God—thank you! 😊
When I believed in you, you gave me salvation and new life. Because of your Son, Jesus, I have overcome death; I am now a new creation in him. I will never perish but have eternal life with you. I am yours. You have plans to give me a future and hope. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
For God So Loved the World
16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
22 to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, 23 and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, 24 and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.
