Daily Prayer for March 25th, 2021
Good Thursday morning, God—thank you! 🙂
You are near the brokenhearted. Please wipe away all the tears. Comfort those crushed in spirit—the ones mourning; give them the oil of gladness. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”
4 “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, 26 and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?”
2 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor,
and the day of vengeance of our God;
to comfort all who mourn;
3 to grant to those who mourn in Zion—
to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes,
the oil of gladness instead of mourning,
the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit;
that they may be called oaks of righteousness,
the planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified.
18 The Lord is near to the brokenhearted
and saves the crushed in spirit.
