Daily Prayer for December 11th, 2020

Good Friday morning, God—thank you!! 😊

Christmastime is not about the hustle and bustle, Santa and his reindeer, tree dilemmas, and foe. It’s a time to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ—expressing love, peace, and goodwill to all, giving, not reluctantly, but with a glad heart. ❤ Every day the Lord makes, we should rejoice now and admire him all year round. Thank you, Father, for sending your son to die on the cross for my/our sins. Thank you for giving us life! In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Ecclesiastes 3:13 ESV

13 also that everyone should eat and drink and take pleasure in all his toil—this is God’s gift to man.

Romans 14:5-6 ESV

One person esteems one day as better than another, while another esteems all days alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. The one who observes the day, observes it in honor of the Lord. The one who eats, eats in honor of the Lord, since he gives thanks to God, while the one who abstains, abstains in honor of the Lord and gives thanks to God.

Psalm 118:24 ESV

24 This is the day that the Lord has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Matthew 2:11 ESV

11 And going into the house, they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they fell down and worshiped him. Then, opening their treasures, they offered him gifts, gold and frankincense and myrrh.

Luke 1:46-49 ESV

Mary’s Song of Praise: The Magnificat

46 And Mary said,

“My soul magnifies the Lord,
47     and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
48 for he has looked on the humble estate of his servant.
For behold, from now on all generations will call me blessed;
49 for he who is mighty has done great things for me,
and holy is his name.
