Daily Prayer for November 30th, 2020

Good Monday morning, God—thank you!! 😊

I know that thanking you in all circumstances, even the evil things, sounds absurd. Lying, gossiping, adultery, judging, murder, child molestation, etc.—it’s all the same. It’s sinning. But, your word says, you form light and create darkness; you make well-being and create calamity; “even the wicked for the day of trouble.” You do all these things for your purpose. You will repay my/our adversaries for their evil; destroy them in my/our faithfulness. However, you are giving every sinner plenty of time to surrender to you, as that is your desire. Therefore, I, too, hope that they will turn from evil and be blessed with salvation, everyone—no exceptions. Thank you, God, for everything! I am thankful for the hope I have because of Christ Jesus, and your wisdom, knowledge, and understanding only through prayer, your voice, and word (the Holy Bible). Amen.

1 Peter 4:12-16 ESV

Suffering as a Christian

12 Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. 13 But rejoice insofar as you share Christ’s sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed. 14 If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. 15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer or a thief or an evildoer or as a meddler. 16 Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in that name.

1 Timothy 2:4 ESV

who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
