Daily Prayer for November 3rd, 2020

Good morning, God—thank you!

When others criticize and persecute me or utter all kinds of evil against me falsely on your account, now, I don’t think twice. Instead, I rejoice! By faith, you strengthen my soul. I’d much rather suffer for loving you than succumb to evil and have a cold heart. Please bless those who do, God—help them to see.❤ In Jesus’ name. Amen.

2 Timothy 3:12 ESV

12 Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted,

Matthew 5:10 ESV

10 “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

1 Peter 4:12-14 ESV

Suffering as a Christian

12 Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. 13 But rejoice insofar as you share Christ’s sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed. 14 If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you.
