Daily Prayer for October 15th, 2020
Good morning, God—thank you!! 😊
There’s been a lot of mention of racism and slavery lately, Father. Your word says no matter what color; we are all created equal and one in Christ. Many people have suffered in the past, lost land, family, even their own lives, from all kinds of evildoers. Much like my childhood sufferings, from people, all sorts of colors—loved ones too. But, to be free, I had to forget and truly forgive them—wish them well for my sake, and mainly honor my/our Savior. Vengeance is yours; you will repay! Unless, hopefully, they too, confess/confessed his or her sins and surrendered, as you are faithful to forgive, and will cleanse them also from all unrighteousness. Holy Spirit, thank you for helping me to finally let go of everything that was holding me down concerning the past unless it’s from you, things from above. Let my focus be on you, God, and your love. ❤ In Jesus’ name. Amen.
13 Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
62 Jesus said to him, “No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.”
18 “Remember not the former things,
nor consider the things of old.
19 Behold, I am doing a new thing;
now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?
I will make a way in the wilderness
and rivers in the desert.
20 I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
2 Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.
16 “Whoever steals a man and sells him, and anyone found in possession of him, shall be put to death.
19 Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.”
1 John 1:9 ESV
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
