Daily Prayer for September 21st, 2020

Good morning, God—thank you!! 😊

I cast all of my burdens on you because you care for me. Lay your yoke upon me that I may learn from you. If I become angry, let me look to you for peace—the peace that surpasses all understanding. Never hold animosity or let the sun go down on outrage. Be calm, and know that you are God. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Philippians 4:6-7 ESV

do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Matthew 11:28-30 ESV

28 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

Ephesians 4:26-27 The Message

26-27 Go ahead and be angry. You do well to be angry—but don’t use your anger as fuel for revenge. And don’t stay angry. Don’t go to bed angry. Don’t give the Devil that kind of foothold in your life.

Zephaniah 3:17 ESV

17 The Lord your God is in your midst,
a mighty one who will save;
he will rejoice over you with gladness;
he will quiet you by his love;
he will exult over you with loud singing.

Psalm 46:10 ESV

10 “Be still, and know that I am God.
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth!”
