Daily Prayer for August 11th, 2020
Good morning, God—thank you!! 🙂
Your word says to “eat, drink wine and be merry,” because you already approve what I/we do. However, I am a temple in which your Spirit dwells. Therefore, please help me keep alert and be sober-minded. The devil prowls around, trying to kill, steal, and destroy. And I/we become more vulnerable to his attempts while gratifying fleshy desires. Everything I do, I want to do to honor you!! In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Enjoy Life with the One You Love
7 Go, eat your bread with joy, and drink your wine with a merry heart, for God has already approved what you do.
23 (No longer drink only water, but use a little wine for the sake of your stomach and your frequent ailments.)
14 You cause the grass to grow for the livestock
and plants for man to cultivate,
that he may bring forth food from the earth
15 and wine to gladden the heart of man,
oil to make his face shine
and bread to strengthen man’s heart.
8 Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
