Daily Prayer for August 5th, 2020

Good Wednesday morning, God—thank you! 🙂

With confidence, each day, I grow in the grace and knowledge of my/our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I draw nearer to your throne of grace and receive mercy in time of need. Your grace is sufficient for me. Your power is made perfect in weakness. When I trust in you, you act. I claim joy! In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Hebrews 12:2 ESV

looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

1 John 5:4 ESV

For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.

Psalm 55:22 ESV

22 Cast your burden on the Lord,
and he will sustain you;
he will never permit
the righteous to be moved.

1 Peter 5:7 ESV

casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.

1 John 1:9 ESV

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

James 1:2-4 ESV

Testing of Your Faith

Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

Psalm 37:5 ESV

Commit your way to the Lord;
trust in him, and he will act.
