Daily Prayer for June 24th, 2020

Good morning, God—thank you! 🙂

Christ’s conversion didn’t instantly solve all of my problems. It brought more issues than ever before. Because before my salvation, I was never in opposition to sin or a threat to evil. Unaware that I was a slave to sin, I served my interest. Unknowing, I was your enemy; my struggle was a result of opposition to you. Now, having faith in and being saved by you; naturally, I hate sin. But, that doesn’t mean I will never sin again. I have victory over sin by trusting in you, as your power is made perfect in weakness. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10 ESV

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Ephesians 6:10 ESV

The Whole Armor of God

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.

Matthew 19:26 ESV

26 But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

1 John 3:9 ESV

No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God’s seed abides in him; and he cannot keep on sinning, because he has been born of God.
