Daily Prayer for July 23rd, 2020
Good morning, God—thank you! 🙂
Thank you for sweet sleep—for calming the restlessness of my mind. And always when I rise, let me shine.* Holy Spirit, please help keep me alert at all times as salvation is nearer to me/us now than when I first believed. Thank you!! In Jesus’ name. Amen.
14 for anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it says,
“Awake, O sleeper,
and arise from the dead,
and Christ will shine on you.”
36 But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.”
11 Besides this, you know the time, that the hour has come for you to wake from sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed.
