Daily Prayer for July 18th, 2020
Good morning, God—thank you for another beautiful day—thank you for everything! 🙂
I am not afraid of evil, as I wait patiently for you. I am unmoved. You, who rebukes the wind and calms the storms—who created the heavens and the earth and every living thing, and promised me a future and a hope. Trust in that is my strength. Oh-my-goodness, thank you, Father! I keep my trust in you. <3 In Jesus’ name. Amen.
7 Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him;
fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way,
over the man who carries out evil devices!
39 And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
15 For thus said the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel,
“In returning and rest you shall be saved;
in quietness and in trust shall be your strength.”
But you were unwilling,
17 And the effect of righteousness will be peace,
and the result of righteousness, quietness, and trust forever.
