Daily Prayer for June 24th, 2020

Good morning, God—thank you!! 🙂

A long time ago, someone said to me, “you should keep God in your conscience in all that you do.” I thought that is impossible. Once I yielded to you and was filled with your Spirit, now all I can do is think about you with singing in my heart. I know that I know! And though I’m not perfect, I try to watch the words that flow from my tongue, thankful for your goodness and sovereignty. I love you, Father and others. Please help me to do unto them as I would have them do unto me. Give me wisdom, understanding, knowledge, piety, counsel, courage, and smarts enough to fear you. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Ephesians 5:18-21 The Message

18-20 Don’t drink too much wine. That cheapens your life. Drink the Spirit of God, huge draughts of him. Sing hymns instead of drinking songs! Sing songs from your heart to Christ. Sing praises over everything, any excuse for a song to God the Father in the name of our Master, Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 12:13 ESV

13 For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and all were made to drink of one Spirit.

Galatians 5:22 ESV

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
