Daily Prayer for July 12th, 2019

Good morning, God—thank You! 🙂

I love it how; when I am uncertain, I look to Your word for knowledge, and You help me to understand because I trust You. Indeed, the dove is a symbol of the Holy Spirit. He is our comforter. He is gentle and guides us, and has a very erratic flight pattern. Jesus compared the Holy Spirit to the wind that we cannot know where it blows and is the same with every person who is born from the Spirit. The eagle is strong and renews life by shedding old feathers. He is smart by using the wind to glide on.
I had asked if the red cardinal represents fire and vitality of the living Spirit, but I’m still uncertain about that, God. I have yet to find that in Your Holy Scriptures. Though, I did learn about “the cardinals of the Philistines.” Let me know Okay, as, among other birds of Heaven, I am curious. I look to You for answers. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Genesis 8:11 King James Version (KJV)

11 And the dove came into him in the evening; and, lo, in her mouth was an olive leaf pluckt off: so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth.

Mark 1:10 King James Version (KJV)

10 And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him:

Luke 3:22 King James Version (KJV)

22 And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee, I am well pleased.

John 1:32 King James Version (KJV)

32 And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him.

John 3:8 New Century Version (NCV)

The wind blows where it wants to and you hear the sound of it, but you don’t know where the wind comes from or where it is going. It is the same with every person who is born from the Spirit.”

Proverbs 23:5 English Standard Version (ESV)

When your eyes light on it, it is gone,
for suddenly it sprouts wings,
flying like an eagle toward heaven.

Isaiah 40:31 English Standard Version (ESV)  🙂

31 but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings like eagles;
they shall run and not be weary;
they shall walk and not faint.
