Daily Prayer for April 28th, 2021

Good morning, God—thank you!! 😊

When feeling accomplished and humbly blessed, please help me not become overly excited, as some may misconstrue my joyful heart for an arrogant one. And too, listeners may be suffering at the time; therefore, I don’t want to take a chance to rub salt in wombs. So, when “feeling happy-go-lucky,” please help me think before I speak, not say too much—tame my tongue with laughter. As you know, excitability is one of my many weaknesses. But where I am weak, I have strength in you. Thank you, Father! In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Proverbs 21:23

23 Whoever keeps his mouth and his tongue
keeps himself out of trouble.

James 1:17

17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.

Matthew 5:6

“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.

Proverbs 25:20

20 Whoever sings songs to a heavy heart
is like one who takes off a garment on a cold day,
and like vinegar on soda.

Psalm 141:3

Set a guard, O Lord, over my mouth;
keep watch over the door of my lips!
