Daily Prayer for February 21st, 2021
Good Sunday morning, God—thank you!! 😊
Holy Spirit, please help me to speak fruitfully, as “life and death are in the power of the tongue.” Let me not complain, condemn myself or others, argue, have strife, or be frustrated. Today is the day you have made; I will rejoice—with my mind on you and my ears tuned into your voice! Amen.
Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
and those who love it will eat its fruits.
so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth;
it shall not return to me empty,
but it shall accomplish that which I purpose,
and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.
Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him.
But he answered, “It is written,
“‘Man shall not live by bread alone,
but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”
