Daily Prayer for January 30th, 2021
Good Saturday morning, God—thank you! 😊
Holy Spirit, please help me know how to react in situations, especially when someone hurts me—remember they might be struggling. Therefore, I need to be patient, kind, and understanding, always! In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Testing of Your Faith
2 Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, 3 for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. 4 And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
29 Whoever is slow to anger has great understanding,
but he who has a hasty temper exalts folly.
6 Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.
2 A fool takes no pleasure in understanding,
but only in expressing his opinion.
7 Think over what I say, for the Lord will give you understanding in everything.
4 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant 5 or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; 6 it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. 7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
