Daily Prayer for December 31st, 2020
HaPpy New Year’s Eve, God—thank you! 😊
As most of us are excited about the end of 2020, we also need to wake up and be aware. Your word indicates that as the time for Christ’s return, darkness and social chaos will intensify—evil men and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and leading people astray. Only you know when Christ will return. “No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” Times and events that Jesus said must take place before his return are certainly in place. Therefore, it is my goal to be faithful to Christ, now, not later, no matter what happens in the world around me. As long as you let me, I will continue to tell the good news about Jesus and glorify you in Heaven. Glory to you in the highest!! Amen.
12 Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.
10 And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.
12 Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.
13 No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
3 Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance,
14 The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.”
13 while evil people and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.
No One Knows That Day and Hour
36 “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.
