Daily Prayer for November 13th, 2020
Good Friday morning, God—thank you!
Fibbing is disgust to you. A misleading, untrustworthy, treacherous, two-faced person is “an abomination to the Lord.” I hate to lie because I love you, and if I do, I act with an instant want to turn and tell the truth. Thank you, Father, for loving, living, and dwelling in me—causing me to hate sin, even though sin (the Mosaic Covenant) is obsolete to me because I believe in you/Jesus! In his precious name. Amen.
22 Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord,
but those who act faithfully are his delight.
7 No one who practices deceit
shall dwell in my house;
no one who utters lies
shall continue before my eyes.
9 Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old self with its practices 10 and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator.
13 In speaking of a new covenant, he makes the first one obsolete. And what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.
17 For nothing is hidden that will not be made manifest, nor is anything secret that will not be known and come to light.
