Daily Prayer for November 11th, 2020
Good morning, God—thank you!
I’m not afraid of bad news because my heart is firm. I trust you. However, I boldly pursue justice and respond to your/Jesus’ teachings. I take the Micah call seriously “to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with you.” By prayer, I seek truth to correct cruelty in a violent society—communist acts and misuse of power that exploit our nation, family, friends, and neighbors, evilly demeaning our dignity. I love kindness and know that vengeance is yours; God, please let all people, no exceptions, turn to you and surrender. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
7 He is not afraid of bad news;
his heart is firm, trusting in the Lord.
24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
6 And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
24 Immediately the father of the child cried out and said, “I believe; help my unbelief!”
By Faith
11 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
8 He has told you, O man, what is good;
and what does the Lord require of you
but to do justice, and to love kindness,
and to walk humbly with your God?
