Daily Prayer for November 7th, 2020
Good morning, God—thank you for this Saturday!
With this election, and in the world today, nothing is hidden from you. You know everything, and vengeance is yours. Therefore, “let justice roll down like waters and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.” In Jesus’ name. Amen.
15 When justice is done, it is a joy to the righteous
but terror to evildoers.
19 Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.”
24 But let justice roll down like waters,
and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.
27 Turn away from evil and do good;
so shall you dwell forever.
28 For the Lord loves justice;
he will not forsake his saints.
They are preserved forever,
but the children of the wicked shall be cut off.
29 The righteous shall inherit the land
and dwell upon it forever.
17 learn to do good;
seek justice,
correct oppression;
bring justice to the fatherless,
plead the widow’s cause.
