Daily Prayer for October 18th, 2020
Good Sunday morning, God—thank you for another day!! 😊
Let me not feed my frustration, nor grow weary of doing good. Instead, look to you, God, and the peace you give, which surpasses all understanding, will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Acknowledge you in all my ways, and you will bring me happiness as you make my path straight. Thank you, Father! In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Hearing and Doing the Word
19 Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger;
33 I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
9 And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
28 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.
6 In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths.
