Daily Prayer for September 18th, 2020
Good Friday morning, God—thank you!! 😊
Often I hear others say, “people try to appear so happy on social media by posting all beautiful and positive display when truly they are miserable.” But, what these critics don’t understand is; we all go through ups and downs, and your word says to “count it all joy.” So, if we keep trusting, speaking, and visualizing vitality, good health, and prosperity over our lives, families, friends, and others—remaining steadfast in your love, we will lack nothing. “A crushed spirit dries up the bones.” “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.” As for me, if I’m suffering, Holy Spirit, even though it’s hard, please help me always to exude happiness and speak full assuredness in the media, and real-life—in prayer—succumb to you and your promises, not to this dark and lost world. Because when we believe you no matter what, you will fulfill your word as we fight the good fight of faith. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
22 A joyful heart is good medicine,
but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.
12 Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.
Testing of Your Faith
2 Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, 3 for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. 4 And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
3 Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, 4 and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, 5 and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
13 But rejoice insofar as you share Christ’s sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed.
10 For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
and those who love it will eat its fruits.
