Daily Prayer for August 28th, 2020
Good Friday morning, God—thank you! 🙂
Thank you for the sunshine, for the morning light. You are a consuming fire in which I fear. You make me rise in your healing wings. I will go out and enjoy the day knowing that and hold fast to what is good. You who create the days and the nights—separated well-lit from the darkness. You are amazing! In Jesus’ name. Amen.
2 But for you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness shall rise with healing in its wings. You shall go out leaping like calves from the stall.
12 “Have you commanded the morning since your days began,
and caused the dawn to know its place,
3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
29 for our God is a consuming fire.
130 The unfolding of your words gives light;
it imparts understanding to the simple.
21 but test everything; hold fast what is good.
