Daily Prayer for August 27th, 2020
Good morning, God—thank you! 🙂
Your word says to eat, drink, and be merry—be joyful, and do good. Give thanks. Everything I do, I desire to do for you. I might have sorrow now, but I will still rejoice—not worry but be happy! Holy Spirit, never let anyone or anything steal my joy. I trust in your promises. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
12 I perceived that there is nothing better for them than to be joyful and to do good as long as they live; 13 also that everyone should eat and drink and take pleasure in all his toil—this is God’s gift to man.
33 I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
28 And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
22 So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you.
