Daily Prayer for August 21st, 2020

Good morning, Father—thank you! 🙂

Please help me to be patient with everyone. Build on love. <3 Not grumble against people as it is not my right to judge. You, the Judge, is standing at the door. As for we believers, when the time comes, your judgment will not be a punishment, but a reminder that we are pardoned, as to realize the full depth and breadth of your grace. Holy Spirit, help me to remain steadfast. I know you have a purpose. You are compassionate and merciful. I desire to be just like you—loving, joyful, peaceful, patient, kind, faithful, gentle, and self-controlled. You are my guide. Lead me the way O’ God. In Jesus’ name, let me hear your voice and obey. Amen.

Galatians 5:22-23 ESV

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things, there is no law.

James 5:7-11 ESV

Patience in Suffering

Be patient, therefore, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient about it, until it receives the early and the late rains. You also, be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand. Do not grumble against one another, brothers, so that you may not be judged; behold, the Judge is standing at the door. 10 As an example of suffering and patience, brothers, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. 11 Behold, we consider those blessed who remained steadfast. You have heard of the steadfastness of Job, and you have seen the purpose of the Lord, how the Lord is compassionate and merciful.

Galatians 6:9 ESV

And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
