Daily Prayer for August 19th, 2020
Good morning—thank you! 🙂
Thank you, especially for sending your only son that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. I believe that. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by your word (the Holy Bible). When I repented, I passed from death to life, period. It is by grace; you saved me through faith. There is nothing I can do now to earn my way to Heaven. I am your heir, sealed in your Kingdom. No matter what I might face, or how weak I become, I will stand again—forever yours, all the way heavenward-bound. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
For God So Loved the World
16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
24 Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment but has passed from death to life.
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
Overcoming the World
5 Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God, and everyone who loves the Father loves whoever has been born of him.
38 And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
