Daily Prayer for June 22st, 2020
Good morning, God—thank you!! 🙂
Sin is irrational and cannot be understood. Trying to make sense of or excuses for unrighteousness is pointless, as there is no natural explanation; therefore, I’ll just keep trusting you. Being saved by Jesus and his righteous blood automatically caused me to hate sin and helps me to turn from it by the power of your Spirit, but that doesn’t’ make me perfect like Jesus. I will unmindfully sin again. That’s why I continue to look to him for guidance, knowing that his horrific suffering freed me from punishment and death. But I will pray about it, and learn from it, and work through my salvations with you, as you continue to wash me as white as snow. Thank you, Father, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
8 but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean;
wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
18 “Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord:
though your sins are like scarlet,
they shall be as white as snow;
though they are red like crimson,
they shall become like wool.
