Daily Prayer for May 27th, 2020
Good morning, God—thank you!
Why lie? It’ll get me nowhere. We, believers, are all members of one body; therefore, we should be honest with and love one another in Christ. And besides, you are Spirit. I desire to worship you in Spirit and truth. Sanctify me completely. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
9 Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old self with its practices 10 and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator.
19 Truthful lips endure forever,
but a lying tongue is but for a moment.
25 Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another.
24 God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.”
18 The one who conceals hatred has lying lips,
and whoever utters slander is a fool.
