Daily Prayer for May 2nd, 2020

Good Saturday morning, God—thank you for this sunny day 🙂

Please rid me of the COVID doldrums, and help me to “gaze upon the beauty of the Lord!” Anyway, if you are for me, who can be against me? No one can separate me from your love. Everlasting God, thanks to you and your perfect son Jesus, who interposes barriers between evil and good, brings joy to the oppressed and gives power to the faint, I stand firm in the faith. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Psalm 27:4 ESV

One thing have I asked of the Lord,
that will I seek after:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord
and to inquire in his temple.

Isaiah 40:28-31 ESV

28 Have you not known? Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He does not faint or grow weary;
his understanding is unsearchable.
29 He gives power to the faint,
and to him who has no might he increases strength.
30 Even youths shall faint and be weary,
and young men shall fall exhausted;
31 but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings like eagles;
they shall run and not be weary;
they shall walk and not faint.

Psalm 34:8 ESV

Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good!
Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!

Romans 8:31 ESV

God’s Everlasting Love

31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

1 Corinthians 16:13 ESV

13 Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.
