Daily Prayer for February 28th, 2020

Good morning, God—thank you! 🙂

Yesterday is gone. Today is a brand new day! Keep me focused on this race—it’s your marathon. Therefore, Holy Spirit, please help me to be all that you want me to be. Everything I do, let me do for you, heart, and soul. Be glad and give thanks! In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Galatians 6:3-4 English Standard Version (ESV)

For if anyone thinks he is something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. But let each one test his own work, and then his reason to boast will be in himself alone and not in his neighbor.

Ephesians 3:20 English Standard Version (ESV)

20 Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us,

Philippians 2:13 English Standard Version (ESV)

13 for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.

1 Corinthians 9:24-27 English Standard Version (ESV)

24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it. 25 Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. 26 So I do not run aimlessly; I do not box as one beating the air. 27 But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.

1 Corinthians 10:31 English Standard Version (ESV)

31 So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
