Daily Prayer for April 16th, 2019      

Good morning, God—thank You!! 🙂

You love humankind so much that You gave Your Son, “that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.” That is what I call love! You are love, and love never ends. It is patient, kind; it does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude, irritable or resentful, and does not insist on its own way. Love does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rather in the truth; it bears all things, believes all things, and endures all things. Holy Spirit, with faith and hope, let me love like that. In Jesus name. Amen.

The Way of Love

13 If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogantor rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Love never ends. Wake Up from Your Sleep

1-2 Watch what God does, and then you do it, like children who learn proper behavior from their parents. Mostly what God does is love you. Keep company with him and learn a life of love. Observe how Christ loved us. His love was not cautious but extravagant. He didn’t love in order to get something from us but to give everything of himself to us. Love like that.
