Daily Prayer for March 20th, 2019

Good Wednesday morning, God—thank You for this first day of spring! :o)

Holy Spirit, help me not to let small irritants and annoyances drive a wedge between me and others. It is easy to take offense and become sensitive, yet “he who is devoid of wisdom despises his neighbor, but a man of understanding holds his peace.” True love (Love for You) takes no offense. Therefore, let me love everyone. “You are love,” and we are all One love in You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Proverbs 19:11 English Standard Version (ESV)

11 Good sense makes one slow to anger,
and it is his glory to overlook an offense.

Ecclesiastes 7:21-22 English Standard Version (ESV)

21 Do not take to heart all the things that people say, lest you hear your servant cursing you. 22 Your heart knows that many times you yourself have cursed others.

Acts 24:16 English Standard Version (ESV)

16 So I always take pains to have a clear conscience toward both God and man.

Ephesians 4:2-3 English Standard Version (ESV)

with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

Proverbs 27:5-6 English Standard Version (ESV)

Better is open rebuke
than hidden love.
Faithful are the wounds of a friend;
profuse are the kisses of an enemy.

1 John 4:7-21 English Standard Version (ESV)

God Is Love

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. In this, the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world so that we might live through him. 10 In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.12 No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.
