Daily Prayer for February 11th, 2019

Good Monday morning, God—thank You! 🙂

You love people so much, You gave Your only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. I believe You, God! Thank You for Your agape love. You are love! Your two greatest commands now are to love You with all our hearts and love our neighbor as ourselves. All the Law and the Prophets hang on those two commandments. Therefore, it is my duty as a Christian to love. Holy Spirit, help me to walk sincerely in Your love, loving You and others the way that You love me. In Jesus name. Amen.

John 3:16 English Standard Version (ESV)

For God So Loved the World

16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

Matthew 5:43-45 English Standard Version (ESV)

Love Your Enemies

43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.

Matthew 22:36-40 New International Version (NIV)

36 Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”

37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Mark 12:30-31 English Standard Version (ESV)

30 And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ 31 The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

John 14:15 English Standard Version (ESV)

Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit

15 “If you love me, you will keep my commandments.

1 Peter 4:8 English Standard Version (ESV)

Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.

Proverbs 17:17 English Standard Version (ESV)

17 A friend loves at all times,
and a brother is born for adversity.
