Daily Prayer for January 23rd, 2019

Good morning, God—thank You! 🙂

When I think “religion,” I imagine it a set of beliefs concerning the cause and purpose of life that contains a moral code of human conduct that You once handed down to Moses. Rules that none of the humankind could follow without fail; which is why You sent Jesus to save us. Your new standards and expectations since His death and resurrection are that of love and understanding. First, we have to believe in the Lord, Jesus and we will be saved. Then, love You with all our hearts and love others…fear You, and not man. Perfect love cast out fear, because if we truly love You, then we will trust You, want to obey You and walk humbly in Your love. <3 In Jesus’ name. Amen.
