Daily Prayer for January 11th, 2019
Good morning, God—thank You! 🙂
If betrayed or badgered, no matter what, let me never become angry but turn away from wrath, for anger does not produce fruitfulness. Holy Spirit, please help me to be kind to everyone, soft-spoken and tenderhearted, forgiving all, just as you in Christ Jesus forgave me. Amen.
15 A soft answer turns away wrath,
but a harsh word stirs up anger.
13 bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.
Hearing and Doing the Word
19 Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; 20 for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God.
26 Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger,27 and give no opportunity to the devil.
31 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. 32 Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
