Daily Prayer for Sept 22nd, 2018

Good morning, God—thank You for this first day of fall! 🙂

I love the changes of the seasons! You give autumn and spring rains in due time so that mankind can gather grain, new wine, and olive oil. I will be patient here and wait for You and enjoy this beautiful life as the farmer waits for the land to yield its crop. In Jesus name. Amen.

Jeremiah 5:24 New International Version (NIV)

24 They do not say to themselves,
‘Let us fear the Lord our God,
who gives autumn and spring rains in season,
who assures us of the regular weeks of harvest.’

James 5:7 New International Version (NIV)

Patience in Suffering

Be patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains.

Deuteronomy 11:14 New International Version (NIV)

14 then I will send rain on your land in its season, both autumn and spring rains, so that you may gather in your grain, new wine, and olive oil.

Galatians 6:9 New International Version (NIV)

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 New International Version (NIV)

A Time for Everything

There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:

a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.
