Daily Prayer for August 7th, 2018

Good morning, God—thank You! 🙂

You test the heart of mankind and are pleased with integrity. You delight in people who are trustworthy. Make my heart pure, Holy Spirit…help me to be more peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit. Give me wisdom that comes from heaven, so that I handle Your word precisely. In Jesus name. Amen.

2 Timothy 2:15 New International Version (NIV)

15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.

James 3:17 New International Version (NIV)

17 But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.

Proverbs 12:22 New International Version (NIV)

22 The Lord detests lying lips,
but he delights in people who are trustworthy.

1 Chronicles 29:17 New International Version (NIV)

17 I know, my God, that you test the heart and are pleased with integrity. All these things I have given willingly and with honest intent. And now I have seen with joy how willingly your people who are here have given to you.

Proverbs 6:16-20 New International Version (NIV)

16 There are six things the Lord hates,
seven that are detestable to him:
17         haughty eyes,
a lying tongue,
hands that shed innocent blood,
18         a heart that devises wicked schemes,
feet that are quick to rush into evil,
19         a false witness who pours out lies
and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.
