Daily Prayer for May 21th, 2018
Good morning, God—thank You!! 🙂
Not by the works of the law or my own effort am I made righteous, as if I become conscious of my sin, then I hold myself in bondage to the law. Rather, this righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. I am justified freely by Your grace through the redemption that came by Your son, Christ Jesus. Halleluiah!! Amen.
2 Corinthians 12:8-9Â New International Version (NIV)
8 Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. 9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

20 Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law, we become conscious of our sin.
Righteousness Through Faith
21 But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. 22 This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.
