Daily Prayer for April 10th, 2018

Good Tuesday morning, God—thank You!! :o)

The law You gave to Moses (the Mosaic Law/Torah or first five books of the Hebrew Bible) bring penalties, not blessings. If we believers think we have to observe the Torah, we will be under its condemnation and do not understand. The old law has disappeared. No one is justified before You by the law because the righteous live by faith. The law is not based on faith, instead, it emphasizes human effort, but salvation is given by grace through faith in what Jesus has done. Thank You, Lord & Savior! In Your beloved name. Amen.

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—

Galatians 3:13 NIV

13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.”

Galatians 5:18 NIV

18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

Galatians 3:11 NIV

11 Clearly, no one who relies on the law is justified before God, because “the righteous will live by faith.”

Hebrews 8: NIV

13 By calling this covenant “new,” he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and outdated will soon disappear.

Isaiah 59:21 NIV

21 “As for me, this is my covenant with them,” says the Lord. “My Spirit, who is on you, will not depart from you, and my words that I have put in your mouth will always be on your lips, on the lips of your children and on the lips of their descendants—from this time on and forever,” says the Lord.

Acts 20:22-24 NIV

22 “And now, compelled by the Spirit, I am going to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there. 23 I only know that in every city the Holy Spirit warns me that prison and hardships are facing me.24 However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.
