Daily Prayer for April 7th, 2018
Good morning, Father of the heavenly lights—thank You for this rainy day! 🙂
You created the heavens and the earth, all of mankind, and every living thing. Light and darkness, visible or not, You brought all into being. Every good and perfect gift is from above. You are amazing, God! Your word is alive and active, sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, and knows every thought of the heart. You so love the world to such, You gave Your one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. You and Your ways are inconceivable, God…but I still believe, in You!! In Jesus name. Amen.
The Beginning
1 In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.
From Adam to Noah
5 This is the written account of Adam’s family line.
When God created mankind, he made them in the likeness of God. 2 He created them male and female and blessed them. And he named them “Mankind” when they were created.
Light and Darkness, Sin and Forgiveness
5 This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him, there is no darkness at all.
12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”
5 The Lord is gracious and righteous;
our God is full of compassion.
