Daily Prayer for February 2nd, 2018

Good morning, God—thank You! :o)

According to scripture, if my faith does not produce works, then it’s dead. Right? In other words, if I claim to have faith, and doubt, or have no works to reveal that my faith is real, then it’s useless. A faith that saves is one that works. It is not the works that save, but the faith that works. It is true genuine faith. Please correct me if I’m wrong. In Jesus name. Amen.

Hebrews 11:6 New International Version (NIV)

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

James 2:17 New King James Version (NKJV)

17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

Matthew 14:30-31 New International Version (NIV)

30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”

31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”
